Building Custom Parade Floats since 1977

SCI 3.2 is one of only 3 parade float building companies in the US and Canada and since 1977 they have been dazzling their clients and audiences at parades and festivals all over North America.  SCI 3.2 floats coming in a variety of styles, sizes, features, and budgets.  Many floats use animation or special effects to engage all of the senses of parade attendees, as well as, broadcast audiences.  Floats may be inflated, or floral, built on a motorized chassis, or powered by cyclists, be sculpted wonders or beautifully decorated mobile structures designed to showcase the festival’s Queen and her court.

Over the years, SCI 3.2 floats have amazed and entertained audiences in Philadelphia, Spokane, Pasadena, Seattle, San Antonio, Chicago, Phoenix, Tampa Bay, Washington DC, Portland, Calgary, and even Amman Jordan.

Not only do parade floats have to be visually spectacular they also must be built on a solid framework to create a functional and safe, mobile presentation.  To get a better idea of what is involved in building a parade float please take a few minutes and review the slideshow featured here. You can also watch a video of an animated float as it moves along the parade route.

Five years of Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade floats are also featured on this page. Just click on the year then click the small arrow in the bottom right corner of the display window to page through each year’s portfolio. Enjoy.
